Welcome to the Novel Concierge! Choosing a book for yourself or someone else can be complicated, so the Novel Concierge is here to help! And it’s FREE—the only “payment” I ask for is that you order your recommendation from an independent bookstore.

How it works:

1. Fill out this form.

2. Get excited (i.e. wait as patiently as possible).

3. You will receive your recommendation/s in an email, usually within one week. Except for right now. In the meantime, grab a classic you’ve always meant to read but haven’t. (Have you read Pride and Prejudice or Beloved or Jane Eyre? How about the short stories of Ursula K. LeGuin? If you like sci-fi, have you read Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler? If you’re into weird stuff, have you read Helen Oyeyemi or Ali Smith?)

4. Order the book(s) from your favorite independent bookstore!

5. ENJOY!
